In 2018, having completed my training and qualified as an ADI, I retired from being a Project Manager in IT and took up driving instructing as a part-time career whilst being semi-retired.
Driving Instructing is not my main source of income. I do it because I enjoy it, not to make money out of you. I am pretty sure my pupils enjoy the lessons too. Taking lessons only 20 hours per week gives me time to offer more than just driving lessons. I take time to prepare each lesson beforehand and provide useful follow-up material afterwards, including dashcam clips for post-lesson review.
As well as preparing you thoroughly for the Practical Driving Test, I offer help with preparation for the Theory Test as well, including free access to Theory Test Pro, a highly realistic online simulation of the UK’s driving theory tests. It contains all the official revision test questions licensed from the DVSA, the people who set the tests.
I am very conscious of the damage that cars make to the environment. When the time is right, I plan to teach in an all-electric car. However, in the meantime I am committed to offset all my mileage emissions by investing in Verified Carbon Standard projects. In July 2019, I offset all the exhaust emissions from January 2018 to July 2019 amounting to 4.582 tonnes of CO2. In July 2020 I offset another year’s worth of exhaust emissions amounting to a further 5.478 tonnes of CO2. Next July, I will calculate my mileage emissions for the year and do the same.
If you live in or around Warminster, Westbury or Frome, and are looking for a calm and patient instructor who will get you that all important driving licence as quickly as possible without costing the earth, then please give me a call.
